Suzanne Nadine Vega (born July 11, 1959) is an American songwriter and singer known for her highly literate lyrics and eclectic folk-inspired music.

Two of Vega’s songs (both from her second album Solitude Standing, 1987) reached the top 10 of various international chart listings: “Luka” and “Tom’s Diner”. The latter was originally an a cappella version on Vega’s album, which was then remade in 1990 as a dance track produced by the British dance production team DNA.

Luka

“Luka” was covered by The Lemonheads on its 1989 album Lick, shortly before the band was signed by Atlantic Records, and was a minor college-airplay hit. On a 1987 Swedish television special, Vega said this about the song “Luka”:
“ A few years ago, I used to see this group of children playing in front of my building, and there was one of them, whose name was Luka, who seemed a little bit distinctive from the other children. I always remembered his name, and I always remembered his face, and I didn’t know much about him, but he just seemed set apart from these other children that I would see playing. And his character is what I based the song Luka on. In the song, the boy Luka is an abused child — in real life I don’t think he was. I think he was just different. ”

Also, in an ASCAP interview, she responded to a question about “Luka”:
“ Interviewer: When you can touch so many people with songs like “Luka”, it must be pretty rewarding.

Vega: Yeah. It’s an amazing feeling. Especially since that particular song is a very special song. It’s a song about child abuse, so therefore it does touch a lot of people in a different way than if it were, say, a love song or some other kind of song.

Betty Lynn Buckley (born July 3, 1947) is a Tony Award-winning American theater, film, and television actress and singer.

Buckley made her Broadway debut in 1969 and has been called “The Voice of Broadway” by New York Magazine. Her rendition of “Memory” in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats established her reputation. Buckley has recorded 13 solo albums and now tours extensively across the U.S. each year. She is also a composer, her first recording contains mostly songs she wrote. She is also featured on many Broadway compilation recordings.

She is perhaps best known for the 1977-81 TV dramedy Eight is Enough. She joined the show in its second season after the original star, Diana Hyland, died after the first four episodes of season 1. Hyland’s character (Joan Bradford) died, and Buckley was cast as Sandra Sue Abbott (nicknamed Abby), who went on to become stepmother to the eight children to which the series’ title refers.

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (known as Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief in the UK) is an upcoming fantasy-adventure film directed by Chris Columbus. The film is an adaptation of The Lightning Thief, the first novel in the Percy Jackson & The Olympians series by Rick Riordan. It will star Logan Lerman as the titular Percy Jackson alongside an ensemble cast which includes Brandon T. Jackson, Alexandra Daddario, Jake Abel, Rosario Dawson, Steve Coogan, Uma Thurman, Catherine Keener, Sean Bean and Pierce Brosnan. It is set to be released on February 12, 2010.

Jeff Garlin (born June 5, 1962) is an American comic actor best known for his role as Jeff Greene, Larry David’s manager on the HBO show Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Early life
Garlin was born and raised in South Florida. He graduated from Nova High School in Davie, Florida in 1980. He then studied filmmaking, and began performing stand-up comedy as a student at the University of Miami in the 1980s. He left the university without completing a degree in order to pursue his comedy career.
On Anytime with Bob Kushell, Garlin said that he briefly roomed with Conan O’Brien in Chicago. They had started a petcare service to make ends meet before finding success in showbusiness.

Comic style
Garlin has toured the country as a stand-up, is an alumnus of Chicago’s Second City Theatre, and has written and starred in three critically-acclaimed solo shows, I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With, Uncomplicated, and Concentrated.
Garlin’s comic style takes a story-telling approach, exploring his personal foibles and exposing his innermost secrets for all to hear (allowing what the Greeks and Shecky Greene called catharsis.)
Young and Handsome: A Night with Jeff Garlin, showcases him performing to a sold out crowd in Chicago’s Second City. Shout! Factory released this DVD special on July 7, 2009. This product was also released as a 10-track CD.

Curb Your Enthusiasm
On television, Garlin co-stars and executive produces the critically acclaimed HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm. The show stars Larry David, the co-creator of Seinfeld. Jeff Garlin co-stars in the show as Larry David’s manager.
Regarding the show and his role, Garlin states:
Originally, I approached Larry David with the idea for the show, and my intent was to direct it and not even be in it. He’s the one that insisted that I play his manager and be an executive producer. It totally has changed my life, and I’m indebted to him forever, and every time I work on that show, not only am I lucky, I laugh my ass off and I have a great time. And it’s probably the most fun I’ll ever have as an actor, ever.
Garlin spent three seasons on NBC’s Mad About You in the role of Marvin. In addition to his acting career, Garlin has also directed both Jon Stewart (Unleavened) and Denis Leary (Lock-n-Load) in their respective HBO specials, as well as an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Garlin has also had his own HBO half-hour comedy special.

Film and television
Garlin has a variety of television and film appearances to his credit, as an actor and a stand-up, including Dr. Katz, Arrested Development, Everybody Loves Raymond, The Late Show with David Letterman, Tom Goes to the Mayor, The Daily Show, and Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Garlin appeared with Eddie Murphy in Daddy Day Care and appeared in Steven Soderbergh’s Full Frontal, starring Julia Roberts and David Duchovny.
Garlin went onto star a small cameo role in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me in 1999.
His feature directorial debut, I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With (which he also wrote), premiered to favorable reviews at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival. It opened in September 2007. The film co-stars Sarah Silverman and Bonnie Hunt, with supporting appearances by Paul Mazursky, Dan Castellaneta, and Amy Sedaris.
In 2005, Garlin played a small role in Fun with Dick and Jane as a man who falls victim to Jim Carrey and Téa Leoni’s crime spree.
In 2006, Garlin also directed This Filthy World, a one-man show performed by director John Waters. Garlin also was a voice actor in WALL-E, an animated film by Pixar that was released June 27, 2008, as the Captain of the Axiom spaceship.
He has become a recurring character on Wizards of Waverly Place as Uncle Kelbo appearing in an episode in season 1 and in an episode in season 2. He is a wizard who uses magic unwisely, but the kids love him.
In 2008, Garlin starred in The Rocker as Stan. He will lend his voice to a character in Disney/Pixar’s upcoming film Toy Story 3.

Hewitt was born on February 21, 1979, in Waco, TX. She made her first appearance on television in 1984 in the show Kids Incorporated (which, coincidentally, once guest-starred Scott Wolf, her Party of Five co-star). She also did a multitude of commercials, even doing a stint as an L.A. Gear spokesgirl at the age of ten. After spending the majority of the ’80s working in television, Hewitt got her first film role in the 1993 film Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, but it wasn’t until she got her big break as Sarah Reeves on Party of Five (1994) that she began to gain recognition. More recognition came first in the form of Trojan War (1997) and then I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997). The film, which capitalized on the growing trend in teen horror flicks catalyzed by Wes Craven’s Scream (1996), proved to be immensely popular among audiences, if not critics; it was predictably followed by a sequel, the aptly titled I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998). In addition to her film work, which also included 1998’s Can’t Hardly Wait, Hewitt maintained her role in Party of Five and continued to star in commercials, most notably as the Neutrogena spokesgirl, as well as headlining her own Fox series, Time of Your Life, in which her Party of Five character, Sarah Reeves, moves to New York to look for her father.

Bethenny Frankel (born November 4, 1970) is a natural foods chef, television personality and author, who is currently seen on The Real Housewives of New York City.

Before she appeared in the reality show, Frankel starred in the 1994 movie “Hollywood Hills 90028″ and acted in the 1995 movie “Wish Me Luck”. Frankel attended the Natural Gourmet Cooking Institute in New York. After she graduated, she formed a company which provides wheat-, egg-, and dairy-free baked goods, meals for private clients, and a custom-meal delivery service. Frankel was one of 16 candidates in The Apprentice: Martha Stewart. She made it to the series finale before losing to Dawna Stone.

Melissa Joan Rivers (born Melissa Warburg Rosenberg; January 20, 1968) is an American television co-host and the daughter of Joan Rivers.

Personal life
Melissa Warburg Rosenberg was born in Manhattan on January 20, 1968; the only child of Joan Rivers and British-born producer Edgar Rosenberg, who committed suicide in 1987. Melissa took on her mother’s stage surname. She is of Russian-Jewish descent on her mother’s side and German-Jewish on her father’s side.
Rivers attended the private John Thomas Dye School in Bel-Air and then The Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, California. She is a 1989 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
On December 12, 1999, she married horse breeder John Endicott. They had one child — a son, Edgar Cooper Endicott, born on December 1, 2000. Endicott and Rivers were divorced on June 19, 2003.

Career
As an actress, she has gotten roles in shows including Beverly Hills, 90210, Silk Stalkings, The Comeback and The L Word.

Teamed with her comedienne mother, Joan Rivers, Melissa hosted fashion on the red carpet interviews for the E! cable network. In 2003, Melissa, along with her mother, left her red carpet pre-show on E! to accept a more lucrative deal with the TV Guide Channel valued between $6–8 million. Their contract was not renewed after it expired. Also in 2002 Melissa appeared on the ABC Network reality show I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!, where she came in second place.
She and her mother played themselves in the television movie Tears and Laughter: The Joan and Melissa Rivers story (1994), which deals with them coping with her father’s suicide.
Melissa is also a regular guest on the webcast show Tom Green Live.

Rivers raised $100,000 for Make-A-Wish foundation, resulting from ABC’s 2006 television show “I’m A Celebrity – Get Me Out Of Here!”, LIVE.

On June 24 2008, Melissa appeared on NBC’s show Celebrity Family Feud as the Rivers Family Team. She and her mother first battled against the Ice-T Family Team, then went on to compete against the Raven Symone Family Team. They won $50,000 for their charity, Guide Dogs For The Blind.
Melissa appeared on the NBC reality television program Celebrity Apprentice playing for the Lili Claire Foundation. She was fired in the episode that aired April 26, 2009, after which she stormed out of the boardroom.

Todd Anthony Bridges (born May 27, 1965) is an American actor and wrestler. Bridges is best known for his role as Willis Jackson on the television series Diff’rent Strokes from 1978 to 1986, and recently his recurring role on the The CW sitcom Everybody Hates Chris.

Todd Bridges and professional figure skater Jenni Meno were the first couple to get the kicked off the show "Skating with Celebrities."

Personal life
Bridges was born in San Francisco, California. Bridges has a brother and sister who are both actors, Jimmy Bridges and Verda Bridges. His mother, Betty A. Bridges, was also an actress. Todd is married to Dori Bridges and has one son, Spencer Todd Bridges (born July 15, 1998) and a daughter Bo J Rushing.

Career
Bridges became the first African-American child actor to have a recurring role on a successful TV series, The Waltons. He also appeared on Little House on the Prairie, and in the landmark miniseries Roots. He was a regular on the Barney Miller spinoff Fish.
Bridges appeared as a contestant on a 2006 celebrity episode of Fear Factor, but was eliminated after the first stunt. In January 2007, he appeared as a member of the “mob” on the US version of the game show 1 vs. 100. He was eliminated on the first question after failing to correctly answer the question, “Which month has an extra day during a leap year?” He appeared on MyNetworkTV’s new show, Decision House with his wife, Dori Bridges on the episode titled, “Burned Bridges” aired on November 14, 2007.
In March 2008 Bridges appeared on truTV’s The Smoking Gun Presents: World’s Dumbest… as a frequent commentator. That same year in October, he debuted as one of the contestants on Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling on the CMT Network. He is a member of Team Beefcake (coached by former wrestler Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake). On the show, Bridges’ wrestling persona is the character “Mr. Not So Perfect.” The judges praised him for his athleticism. After reaching the finals along with Butterbean and Dustin Diamond, Bridges was defeated by Dennis Rodman.
He has two bands called Todd Bridges and The What You Talkin About Willis Experience.

Legal Problems
In his 20’s, Bridges battled a cocaine addiction for several years. In 1988, he was arrested and tried for the attempted murder of Kenneth “Tex” Clay, a Los Angeles area drug dealer, who prosecutors argued had been shot by Bridges while on a binge. Bridges pleaded not guilty to the charges and was represented by the high-profile defense attorney Johnnie Cochran. Cochran successfully portrayed Bridges as an abused minor who had been driven to drugs by an exploitive entertainment industry, and was now being unfairly framed. A witness finally testified that Bridges was not present at the time of the shooting. Bridges was acquitted of all charges by a jury.
In 1993, Bridges was involved in an altercation with a tenant, David Joseph Kitchen, in his house after a disagreement about unpaid rent. Kitchen attacked Bridges with a sword, then Bridges retaliated by stabbing him in the chest with a kitchen knife. The prosecutors dropped the charges, concluding Bridges had acted in self-defense.

Personal Life
In 1998, Todd Bridges and his brother James Bridges were credited with saving the life of a 50 year old paraplegic woman, Stella Kline. The woman nearly drowned when her wheelchair rolled into a lake while she was fishing. Quoting Kline, “I was thanking God that he was there, and you know, everybody’s been saying nothing but bad stuff about Todd Bridges on the news and in the papers . . . He has a heart of gold.” Todd Bridges remarked on the rescue, “We felt God put us there at the right time to save this lady’s life, because there was no one else around.”
He appeared as a contestant on the Fox reality show Skating with Celebrities, but was eliminated on the second episode of the show. Bridges defeated Vanilla Ice on a 2002 episode of Celebrity Boxing. Additionally, Bridges appeared along with Gary Coleman and Vanilla Ice on a VH-1’s celebrity-reality show The Surreal Life. (Coleman was featured in the 2004 season of The Surreal Life, where he managed a restaurant at which the other cast members worked.

Born RuPaul Andre Charles on November 17 1960, he grew up in San Diego, learning fashion tips from his mother and three sisters. After some time living in Atlanta doing odd jobs such as a used-car salesman, RuPaul moved to New York by the early ’90s. He had begun performing in local Manhattan clubs and became a popular attraction through his various flamboyant acts on stage. After battling drug addiction and living in poverty Rupaul was given a record contract by the famous duo Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey, with the hip-hop label Tommy Boy Records. His debut album, “Supermodel of the World”, was released in 1993, but it failed on the Billboard Charts until the following year, when the success of the single “Supermodel (You Better Work)” a tribute to the divas of the fashion world placed in the top 30 on the Pop Charts. The music video for “Supermodel” was nominated for Best Dance Video at the 1994 MTV video music awards. In 1992 he met Mathu his make-up artist and Zaldy his costume designer, the two studied every inch of his body and went on to create some of Rupaul’s most famous costumes and build what he calls the “Glamazon Look”. The success of “Supermodel” had Rupaul performing at a Gay rights rally in Washington D.C., on the same spot Martin Luther King delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech.

In 1994 Rupaul recorded a duet with Elton John, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” which charted on the American charts but proved more successful in Europe, where the two co-hosted England’s Brit Awards and RuPaul taped a popular Christmas special. In 1995 Rupaul launched his autobiography entitled “Lettin It All Hang Out” which has since been out of print and has sold 450,739 copies on Amazon.com alone. He also appeared in two films, The Brady Bunch Movie (1995), and Spike Lee’s Crooklyn (1995). The media exposure gained Rupaul his own show for VH1. The RuPaul Show which nixed a talk show and a variety show, featured Rupaul performing all kinds of stunts from doing comedic sketches, program specials such as The Rupaul Porn Star Show and the Disco salute and sometimes ends with Rupaul collaborating in a duet with guest stars. The show sadly ended in 1998 after three seasons when ratings began to falter. That same year he became a spokesperson for M.A.C. Cosmetics, billing him as “The First Face of M.A.C.” Over the course of six years, he launched store openings in ten countries and helped raise over $22 million for the M.A.C AIDS fund.

A Christmas album titled “Ho, Ho, Ho,” was released in 1997. After moving to Rhino Records for his third album Foxy Lady, RuPaul made some noise in the clubs once again with the supermodel sister single “Snapshot” and the moving self-inspired “A Little Bit Of Love”. At the same time Rupaul was also doing films appearing in movies such as the all-star drag queen comedy To Wong Foo, Thanks for everything Julie Newmar (1995), the made for TV movies A Mothers Prayer (1995) with Linda Hamilton and An Unexpected Life with Stockard Channing (1998), the lifetime TV drama The Truth About Jane (2000), But I’m a Cheerleader (1999), and the Inde film Who Is Cletis Tout? (2001) with Richard Dreyfuss, Tim Allen, and Christian Slater. In 1999 Rupaul received the Vito Russo Entertainer of The year at The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) media awards for challenging the limits and breaking boundaries in becoming an openly gay individual who has achieved excellence in the field of Entertainment and furthering his visibility and understanding of the community through his work. In 2002 Rupaul was honored by The Most Beautiful Transsexuals In The World Association, commending him for his outreach support on the Gay and Lesbian community with their Lifetime Achievement Award honoring his over 10 year conquest and establishing fashion and glamour in the entertainment idustry.

Lauren Katherine Conrad (born February 1, 1986) often referred to as “L.C.”, is an American television personality, actress, celebutante, author and fashion designer. She is best known for being featured in the MTV reality series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and for her spin-off show, The Hills, which follows her personal and professional life as she pursues a career in the fashion industry.

Early Life
Conrad was born in Laguna Beach, California, the eldest of three children of Jim and Kathy. Her younger siblings are Breanna and Brandon.

Reality Television

*2004–2006: Laguna Beach

During Conrad’s senior year of high school, she appeared in the MTV reality series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. Upon graduation in 2004, she attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco for one semester where she first met Heidi Montag. During the second season of Laguna Beach, she returned home and began taking classes at a local college before subsequently transferring to the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.

*2006–2009: The Hills

The first season of The Hills premiered on MTV in May 31, 2006. The series documents Conrad’s move to Los Angeles, her work at Teen Vogue, and her personal life and the lives of her friends, including then-roommate Heidi Montag.

MTV renewed The Hills for a second season, which filmed from late summer 2006 through February 2007. The premiere episode of season 2 aired January 15, 2007. During that time, the friendship between Conrad and Montag deteriorated as Montag increasingly spent her time with her new boyfriend, Spencer Pratt. By February 2007, Audrina Patridge replaced Montag as Conrad’s roommate after Montag moved into a separate apartment with Pratt.

Filming the third season of The Hills began in mid-summer 2007 and lasted through March 2008. The premiere episode of season 3 aired August 13, 2007. During that time, Conrad was able to revive her position at Teen Vogue and was offered a second trip to Paris alongside with Whitney Port. By March 2008, Port had already left Teen Vogue for fashion PR firm People’s Revolution, and after asking Conrad to assist at an event, Cutrone noticed her work ethic and invited her to work for her company.

Filming for the fourth season of The Hills began in mid-summer 2008 and lasted through November 2008. The premiere episode of Season 4 aired August 18, 2008. Filming for Season 5 began in January 2009, and the premiere episode aired April 6, 2009. Conrad has stated that Season 5 will be her last, even with her departure, the program is continuing without her. Her journey on The Hills began May 31, 2006 and ended on May 31, 2009.

She has also written a new book called L.A. Candy released in June 2009

Fashion Career
Conrad landed an internship at Teen Vogue while filming season one of The Hills. Conrad and her reality show appearances have been credited with improving sales of Teen Vogue. It was reported in March 2007 that since the second season of The Hills began airing in mid-January, newsstand sales for the magazine increased by double digits over 2006 sales. According to Lisa Love, the West Coast editor of Vogue who evaluated Conrad for the internship position, Conrad had to interview successfully in order to get the job, “regardless of what the cameras wanted”. She now works for Kelly Cutrone at the People’s Revolution and is the author of the book L.A. Candy. Based on Conrad’s personal life, L.A. Candy is a novel about a 19-year-old girl who moves to Los Angeles and becomes the star of a reality tv show. Conrad was also placed in Teen Vogue’s Ten Best Dressed list for April 2009.

Conrad developed a new fashion line, the Lauren Conrad Collection, that debuted at the Mercedes Benz LA Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios in March 2008. In March 2009, Conrad announced that she would be taking a hiatus from the fashion line; the spring and summer 2009 lines have been canceled. She earns an estimated $1.5 million annually for her television appearances, fashion line, and product endorsements.

Personal Life
Conrad has previously dated fellow Laguna Beach cast members Stephen Colletti and Jason Wahler. She also dated Brody Jenner and baseball player Doug Reinhardt. In 2008, Conrad began dating My Boys actor Kyle Howard.
